Baby K’tan co-founders Isaac and Aviva Wernick’s youngest son, Eitan Lev, was born in 2003 with a rare and serious heart defect known as TAPVR (Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return). Eitan underwent a successful open-heart surgery at Miami Children’s Hospital when he was only four weeks old. Baby K’tan is happy to give back to those organizations that are dear to our hearts.

Donations are made to organizations such as the National Down Syndrome Society and the Broward Gold Coast Down syndrome Organization which works towards enhancing the lives of individuals with Down syndrome by helping them reach their full potential by providing family support, education and social activities,

Baby K’tan co-founders Michal and Brian Chesal’s oldest son, Coby Joshua, was born with Down syndrome in December of 1999. Coby’s birth and disability presented the need for Michal & Brian to create an environment for him that would facilitate his development and provide the extra stimulation he needed for optimal growth.

Michal also volunteers in her local special needs community and serves as an active board member on numerous children’s advocacy organizations.

March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies. We support research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy so that every mom and baby can have the best possible start. Building on a successful 80-year legacy of impact and innovation, we empower every mom and every family.

Baby K'tan has donated over 1,800 Baby Carriers valuing over $90,000 to March of Dimes to support their fight for the health of moms and babies.

Essential Meals & MediMeals support the global Heroes that are on the frontline risking their lives to give every one of us the help we need during the COVID-19 pandemic. The fundraising focus is to to provide "Essential Meals" to those first responders from our local communities, such as: Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Paramedics and Marine Patrol. Sacramento Pouch Project brings existing babywearers together with new parents and other caregivers in Sacramento County to spread babywearing knowledge and distribute free carriers to caregivers who may otherwise not be able to safely and comfortably wear their babies and toddlers. We collect gently used carriers from individuals and solicit donations of new carriers from babywearing companies so that we can match caregivers with a carrier that will work for them and their child(ren).

ICU baby works with NICU physicians, nurses and social workers to assess the needs of the families with babies in their unit.
